Dana van der Bijl

After graduating from Maastricht Institute of Arts in Product Design in 2001, I worked as a designer in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Painting however, is the artistic expression that suits me the most and therefore it was natural to me to gradually start to focus on this.

I want to paint as authentically and purely as possible what lives inside me. Over the years, my work evolved from figurative to abstract and my use of color changed from mostly grayed tinted colors to radiant bright ones.
